2 weeks in Florida!

"Come unto me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28-30

 

God is so amazing to bless my family with a few weeks of rest in Kissimmee, Florida.  My mom (Gee) flew up with me and the girls for the first week and we had a Girl's Week and then she flew home a week later and Spencer flew up for the 2nd week!  (He actually worked it out with my mom and flew up a whole day early and surprised us all at the resort!)  What was so special about that was that he and I got to go on a date while my mom was still there.  We had one of our most memorable and favorite dates of all our 14 years together.  We went to Universal Studios and went to Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. (If you don't know about us, we love Jimmy Buffett and anything island-y)  We walked around City Walk and then went back to downtown Kissimmee to their outdoor carnival.  Such a great time together.  I love him. 

 

With Gee, we visited the Orlando zoo, Cocoa Beach, and Sea World.  We hung out at the hotel pools and went on nature walks and went shopping downtown!  So much fun to be with Gee and the girls! Chloe couldn't get over the lizards everywhere!  The squirrels were also so tame that they would literally eat out of your hands.  The grounds of the resort were beautiful. 

 

With Spencer, we visited Downtown Disney (where the girls dug for dinosaur bones, built at Lego Land and had a blast in the water feature), Gatorland (where Chloe held a 15 foot boa constrictor...she was first in line to have it wrapped around her), back to Cocoa Beach and then to Daytona Beach (both amazing beaches!!) Spencer found a perfect restaurant on the other side of the island and it was right on the water and had a live Caribbean band!  We didn't want to leave!  We found the resort's activity center this week and played ping pong and foosball and board games together. Such an unforgettable trip!
